EU VAT E-commerce Update July 2021
The rules around posting overseas have changed. All items sent by us to customers who reside in the EU which includes Ireland require customs declarations.
Wowvow is fully compliant however the rules from 1st July 2021 have changed.
For orders to the EU where the value of your order is below €150 the relevant country VAT will be applicable. For orders above €150, VAT and custom duties will apply.
From 1st July 2021 all orders to the EU will be dispatched Delivery Duties Unpaid (DDU). This means that our customers will have to pay import VAT, handling fee and a customs charge, in the receiving country before the parcel can be delivered by the courier. The applicable charges will depend on whether your order is above or below the €150 threshold.
There are also now customs clearance fees applicable to all orders to the EU. Our delivery prices have been updated accordingly.
Until we have further systems in place all orders to Ireland have to be dispatched via courier with one fixed postal rate. This will be reviewed as soon as things become clearer. Postal rates to all countries are subject to change at short notice so we may need to contact you regarding the rate you have paid.
Please be aware that there is likely to be some disruption with deliveries during this period.
